Electrical Technician Position

We do this by using technologies like 3D modelling to create scale models of new innovations and testing them in local research facilities. After validation, we use a blend of manufacturing techniques to create the complex shapes required for commercial application in the aquaculture sector. Job Description
Our team is looking for someone who is comfortable working with a small team in a fast-paced work environment. You will support manufacturing efforts, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies. You will manufacture and repair underwater camera and monitor systems, control panels, calibrate sensors and work on other electrical systems needed in the aquaculture sector. You will work closely with team members while operating a variety of manufacturing tools. As you work with the team, you will have many opportunities to learn and develop your skill set.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture/ Repair Underwater camera and monitor systems
- Manufacture Control panels for pumping systems
- Assembly of small electrical components
- Making / sealing wire connections (soldering / screw terminals / sealing)
- Assembling components in panels / enclosures
- Maintaining inventory levels of electrical components
- Support the manufacturing team in the development and production of new products
- Use hand tools including angle grinders, die grinders, bandsaws, jig saws, drills, etc.
- General shop cleaning and maintenance
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) required
- Experience with using and understanding basic hand and power tools
- Experience with electrical/electronics and soldering
- A willingness to learn new techniques and support the rest of the manufacturing team.
- Diploma in Industrial Electrician is an asset
- Diploma in Industrial Control Technology is an asset
